Why choose an SSAIB Installer?

The SSAIB was formed as a result of the concerted efforts of a section of the alarm installing industry to protect users of alarm systems against unsafe/unsound security systems.

It acheives this objective by maintaining a roll of Approved Installers throughout the country who have been inspected and seen to comply with the relevant standards and have the necessary skills to install alarm systems professionally.

All Approved Installers on the roll are expected to carry out their work to the highest possible standard using only the best quality components.

Choosing an SSAIB installer to fit your alarm system is your guarantee that the work will be carried out as specified and in accordance with current British Standards & SSAIB requirements.

All SSAIB Approved Installers are subjected to regular six monthly inspections to ensure that the relevant standards are being adhered to. These inspections are both technical and administrative in nature and are designed to establish compliance in all our daily operations.

As an SSAIB Approved Installer we are required to carry comprehensive insurance cover to protect our clients, this includes:

  • Public Liability Cover to a value of £1,000.000
  • Products Liability to £1,000,00
  • Efficacy £1,000,000 and
  • Failure to Perform £1,000,000.

A Certificate of Conformity will be issued when your system is handed over. This is a binding statement by the installer that all the standards have been followed.

All Approved Installers operate a 24 Hour Emergency callout facility, so that if a problem does arise with your system, an engineer is always at hand to rectify the fault. In addition to this, we also provide 24Hr Telephone Support, for minor problems that do not require engineer attendance. Naturally there is no charge for this service.

Regular Maintenance of your alarm system is essential in order to ensure that it continues to provide peace of mind and the protection you expect. All systems should be thoroughly checked at least once a year. Monitored alarm systems should be inspected twice yearly.

A complaints procedure exists to protect the customer in the unlikely event that an Approved Installer has failed in his duty to provide excellence at all stages. Where complaints are upheld by the SSAIB, they will ensure that the problem is rectified at the Installers expense.

Can you really afford not to choose an Approved Installer?
